Kwila Decks
Kwila is a south East Asian tropical hardwood. It has a lovely gold to reddy-brown colour and is perhaps one of the most well-known decking boards in New Zealand. The Kwila colour will intensify once first laid and then age to a driftwood grey if left to weather over time.
New Kwila decks are susceptible to a tannin bleed after the first few rainfalls. To enhance durability and the colour we recommend oiling or staining the boards after the timber has bled. This will increase the life of your new deck.
KS Fence & Deck use stainless steel screws. We use sustainably sourced A-grade decking timbers.
